Positions AvailableDue to significant growth in our work, over the next three months we will be filling positions at several levels for statisticians in our Perth office. Ideal candidates will excel at applying their analytical knowledge to real-life problems in a commercial environment. For this first round, Data Analysis Australia currently has positions available for the following roles: Applications close 2pm Wednesday 18th June 2008. A further round of positions will be advertised shortly. Company NewsData Analysis Australia will be sending a delegation to the next Australian Statistical Conference being held in Melbourne in June 2008. John Henstridge, Anna Munday, Alex Maund, Jason Rabbitt and Rian Caccianiga will each be presenting at the conference. Topics covered by their presentations will range from Analysing Woylie Data to Evaluating Academic Research Performance. Jason Rabbitt and Rian Caccianiga have also been actively involved in the organisation of the Young Statisticians’ component of the Australian Statistical Conference. Data Analysis Australia is proud to be sponsoring the Young Statisticians’ stream, with John Henstridge invited as a guest speaker to encourage and inspire Young Statisticians. John Henstridge is currently supervising Tom Lawrence, an Honours student from the University of Western Australia, who is writing his thesis on energy consumption using single index models. After two years as a Consultant Mathematician, Scott Brown has recently left Data Analysis Australia. Pamela Gant has also left us after five years, for a full-time GIS role at the City of Rockingham. Both Scott and Pam will be missed, and we would like to thank them for their contributions to Data Analysis Australia and wish them all the best in their new positions. Updated 30th May, 2008. |
